World Tour – Summer 2013

Hi, Guys!

I write to you with my feet firmly planted. I must say, it is a very peculiar feeling. The new record release is fully underway and doing GREAT (thanks to you!), and my calendar shows two solid months of “Solo Live!” and “Full Band” World Tour dates ahead.

I’ll be anywhere from Texas to Norway via London this summer. (more…)

We’re in heavy rotation on Music Choice right now (with Please Drive) so we’re seeing lots of new fans. I just want to let you know I’m so grateful to folks that take an extra step to learn about a “new” artist, sign up to get news, and tell friends or come out to a show. As we prepare to release a Solo Live record and write new material for the next studio album, it’s fun to watch Delicious continue to find new ears and bring new folks to the audience.

Buddy Guy’s Legends ~ New Record ~ Europe 2012 Re-Cap

As I look back on the past year, I want to thank each of you for making this my most exciting, rewarding, and special year ever of making music. The ‘year’ I refer to started with the Duck Jazz Fest in Oct 2011 and concluded with the end of the Europe Tour in Oct 2012. Below are a few reflections on the past year….

…And then the beat goes on, carrying us forward into the future. While the band and I get set for our headline night at Buddy Guy’s Legends (Dec 1 in Chicago), I am booking 2013 dates like crazy.

Kirsten Thien Solo Live ~ Spirit of 66 in Belgium

On Black Friday, while the world shops to its heart’s content, I’ll be in the studio prepping the most unexpected product of the 2012 Tour. A new album! Solo Live from the Meisenfrei Blues Club (Bremen, Germany). You will get the whole story and a preview on Monday, but here’s a taste of the ‘vibe’ of the new record here (in Belgium at the Spirit of 66 opening for Popa Chubby). (more…)

NEW YORK, NY (Aug 20, 2012) – After completing their “C2 SHINING C” cross country tour, Kirsten Thien and her band hit the East Coast like a storm, with their “Cape to Coast” tour reaching New England Sept 7 – 10. These are The Kirsten Thien Band’s last U.S. tour dates of the year, after which they will head off to Northern Europe to bring American Blues, Soul and Rock ‘n Roll at it’s best to audiences in Holland, France, Germany and Belgium. Last week The Kirsten Thien Band thrilled an Albany, NY Allman-Brothers-loving crowd in a power set opening for Dickey Betts and Great Southern on the banks of the Hudson River for Albany’s “Alive @ 5” summer music series. Read the concert review here at Nippertown.
