2020 Music Stimulus Package
Hi, everyone. Like all of you, I’m overwhelmed with offers and discounts coming at me from every angle. Argghhhh! As we careen toward the end of the toughest year on record for many of us, I feel fortunate to still be plugging away and making music. But I do not feel like shopping right now, and I also don’t feel like ‘selling’ music right now. Sure, sure…I want people to value musicians’ efforts and output enough to pay for it (when they can). There is a vote of confidence, above all, that comes with every paid sale, so THANK YOU to the folks who have supported us so generously over the years by buying CDs, Vinyl, tickets to our shows, and recently donating freely to virtual shows. The memories of time together, plus the new connections we are making during this crazy time have been soul-sustaining!
While you all know we love making music, ‘getting it out there’ does come at a cost which can only truly be recovered by knowing the joy that others get from our hard work and our high expectations for ourselves! So the expressions of that appreciation and the joy people have shared with us this year have been a gift for which I am eternally grateful! This is why, right now more than ever, I must act on this urge toward ‘sharing’. I will break the rules of my finance and marketing training, and simply give music away to anyone who would get joy from it right now. And for those who have the ability or desire to pay for music (but would like to share it further with each dollar spent) I understand that too, and greatly appreciate YOUR generous spirit! So Happy Holidays to you and yours! Please don’t be shy! Share the music, share the love!
